Bourke Street Bakery has just recently opened its doors in Neutral Bay (Shop 7/19-25 Grosvenor St (Located on the cnr of Young and Grosvenor Lanes)) offering freshly baked breads, a handful selection of pastries, delicious home made style soups and Belgian Iced Chocolate.
CROISSANT TOWER! Look at these buttery flaky viennoiserie bread roll. Just appetizing.
Baked goodies made fresh daily. The popularity of these pastries is just overwhelming.
The beef pie ($5) is soaked with thick gravy and tender chunks of beef, which was easily demolished. It was heartwarming given the weather was cold and windy.
Their daily special soup- beef winter vegetable soup served with ciabatta bread incredibly popular had people lining up out the door.
Ciabatta ridiculously yummy! Can’t think of a way to describe this fabulous and unusual texture of this ciabatta.
Couldn’t get enough of the beef pie, so decided to try their beef brisket pie ($5). Pastry light, flaky and golden outside. It is exquisitely baked to perfection.
In my opinion the beef brisket gets the thumbs up compared to regular beef pie. It is more juicy and more fatty pieces. The beef pie is recommend for humans who love leaner meat, whereas beef brisket pie is for the fatty juicy beef lovers.
Make sure you try their desserts. Pear & Rhubarb slice ($4.50) very attractive with enormous fruity flavour and underneath a layer of cake. Buttery and crumply outside, which easily separates every time the fork is dived into the cake.
Couldn’t resist without trying Chocolate Cookie with Sour Cherry ($3.50) each. Sweet and sour taste with full size cherry all around the cookie. Perfect for chocolate lovers. Cookie somehow reminds me of Cherry Ripe. Yummy!
To balance out taste buds, give Belgian Iced Chocolate a try. Sweetened beverage with real Belgium chocolate flavor.
Definitely coming back here again because I have yet to try the Ginger Brulee Tart which Chocolatesuze mentioned that tastes heavenly awesome.
