Burgers at Blackflower Patisserie, Haymarket

Posted on Updated on

Just when I thought there wouldn’t be a twist to desserts there comes Blackflower Patisserie (Shop 5, 37 Ultimo Road, Haymarket) with enticing macarons and cakes. This sweet lovable patisserie cafe located right in the centre of Haymarket and also a short distance walk from UTS library. Absolutely perfect for uni kids to pop out of the library for some “study break time”. Sadly, they only open until 6pm seven days a week therefore it’s more of morning hangouts and late afternoon tea joint.

Sweet Sweet colourful macaron tower! It’s as tall as a croquembouche tower.

These cheeseburgers are no ordinary burgers they are in fact macarons!

You MUST TRY these teeny tiny macaron cheeseburger ($3.20 each) filled with chocolate ganache and sprinkled with sesame seeds. It’s light and crusty outside an sweet, soft and gooey texture in the center.  Slightly disappointed it couldn’t taste like a real cheeseburger. Although it’s not Zumbo’s macarons! The presentation wise of this burger does wonders! And why not try watermelon macaron ($3.20 each) as well.

Though having a sweet tooth sometimes does require Ice Green Tea Latte ($5.90) with a swirl of cream on top. Can really taste the earthy rich matcha green tea flavour.

I personally enjoyed the taste of these macarons therefore as a result I ended up taking a box home.  Although after comparing with other macaron prices macaron hurts when you purchase 7 times $3.20= $22.40.

And FYI, Yes, I couldn’t resist not taking photos of these adorably cute macarons!

It felt like a mini assignment to take the perfect snap shot of these precious macarons.

Can’t wait to go back to Blackflower Patisserie to see what they have installed next! It would be awesome if it comes in a meal rather than just the burger….
